­Pakistan's Warid Telecom has launched a marketing push based about a new youth brand. Glow, the new youth brand of Warid, through its unique features, recognizes the variety of tastes and preferences of the youth - ranging from calling their communities to their choices in how and when they want to communicate.

A separate web and WAP portal by the name of Libab (which means 'Best of the best' in Arabic) has been created to provide free downloads.

Group CCO of Warid Telecom International (WTI) and Project lead for the initiative, Mr. Ali Tahir said: "We have sought to leverage our strengths across our companies to provide our customers with the latest in what our Group has to offer, and to remind the youth of Pakistan that they have a choice and the freedom to communicate on their terms. Through the efforts of our teams, we have launched an innovative product through creative advertising to attract the youth segment of Pakistan,"

Warid Telecom is Pakistan's fourth largest operator in the country. Figures compiled by the Mobile Would analysts shows that the operator ended Q1 '09 with 17.4 million customers.
